    MadeinMIDI is a pop composition project initiated by composer/producer Mark Marrington in 2008. The project is motivated by the author's desire to locate the formula for the elusive one-hit wonder. This player will ultimately be the vehicle for eight self-contained instrumentals, each designed with a particular concept in mind and conceived entirely in software.

      'Starlet' is intended as a tribute to the legendary producer Joe Meek and his most famous production, 'Telstar'. The track, which was composed, arranged and produced entirely in software, features authentic instrument samples from the era, including the clavioline, the Vox 'Continental' and the Hofner bass, and uses vintage emulations of 1960s hardware to capture the unique production characteristics of Meek's records.
